Photos

Usually delegated to the AD:

  1. Book a theatre photographer for rehearsal photos and Sunday dress rehearsal photos. Photographer sends images to Alison Carr for publicity.
  2. Send copies to the Archivist.
  3. Confirm with cast they are happy for rehearsal photos to be public.

Box Office

  • Provide an approximate finishing time ASAP and an exact time before first night.
  • Notify at least 6 weeks in advance of special seating arrangements:

1. Limited vision seats due to the set

2. Seats removed from sale for lighting/sound

3. Seat count for Studio productions

4. Request complimentary tickets for you and your AD (several weeks in advance)

  • Provide any audience warnings (smoking, language, violence, nudity) at the earliest opportunity (FOH and website).

Publicity

  • Publicity is centralised but relies on production teams for show-specific material.
  • The publicity team handles website updates, season brochure, e-newsletters, and press releases; production teams should lead additional activity (photos, social content).
  • Contact Alison Carr early once allocated a production. Consider assigning a publicity liaison (often the AD).

Responsibilities

  • Alison Carr: Box Office Supervisor; liaison with Jump for production web pages; website updates; social posts (Facebook, X, Instagram); press releases & listings (with production support).

Programme

  1. Have programme content ready 2 weeks before end of rehearsals.
  2. Include full company: acting, design, technical, production (format is your choice).
  3. Programme note limit: ~250 words.
  4. Include approximate finish time, intervals, and acknowledgements.
